Please Help! Electron Wallet not working

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, so I downloaded the electron wallet installer, during installation everything seemed fine. However, when I try to open up xaya.exe it gives me an error box that says "Looking for xaya.exe" and gives me the option of finding it myself. So I go to the directory I told it to install into, but the only thing there was "uninstall XAYA Electron". I don't know how to fix it, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

The default installation folder is here;

C:\Program Files\Xaya\XAYA Electron

C:\Program Files\Xaya\XAYA Electron

Also, the executable file for the Electron wallet is:

XAYA Electron.exe

It's not "xaya.exe".

Let me know if that helps. If not, can you post a bit more detail?

(I have a sneaking suspicion that perhaps the shortcut may be incorrect for some reason - going to the installation folder and runnning the EXE should work.)

okay, so I went into ,

C:\Program Files\Xaya\XAYA Electron

but the only thing in the folder was "Uninstall XAYA Electron". There is nothing else in the folder. A shortcut called "XAYA Electron was placed on my desktop, but it gives me the error box.

Did you change the install folder? If so, uninstall it then try reinstalling it to the default installation folder.

Or check the folder that you installed it to, and look for the EXE as above.

Can you try clicking the uninstall there to uninstall it, then reinstall?

What was the folder that you wanted to install it to? The default? Somewhere else?

it sounds like maybe your antivirus or something deleted it on installation (maybe)

check your antivirus activity log to see if it did/does
