Who gets chi when a name is registered?

Recommended Posts

The CHI when you register a name is in the name. it's a locked coin. 0.01 CHI are locked in the name / address.
Whenever you update it, you are essentially spending it but getting it back.

The miner gets the tx fee (anything after the 0.01 amount when registering, and any fees when updating)

I see, for a second I thought it would go to whoever owned the game name (tftr in this case). So every name always has exactly 0.1 chi locked up in it?

Also, this gave me an idea. Rather than charging upfront for a game or for in-game items, the dev could also collect some tiny fee for each game move on top of the miners getting the tx fee. Has that been discussed anywhere?

you could yes.
The game state could only process some move if it received some fee with a tx

or

the game could take the "game coins" for a fee

also in TF, you van buy crystals for CHI.
