Mining XAYA - Information Thread

Recommended Posts

From Launch you are able to mine CHI.

XAYA is a PoW secured blockchain.

As pioneered by huntercoin, XAYA can be mined with 2 Algos of which have independent difficulty levels.

SHA-256d - Merge Mineable with Bitcoin and other SHA-256d crypto currencies.

Neoscrypt - GPU Mineable

Both target 1 minute blocks ( avg every 30 seconds) and 100kB max block size

Each have their own independent difficulty and mined independently.

To Solo mine neoscrypt you can use ccminer if using an nvidia GPU

https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer

If you are using the beta XAYA Electron wallet in it’s default settings, then you can solo mine using this from CLI

Ccminer -a neoscrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:8396/wallet/game.dat -O user:pass

This will mine to your game wallet.

The user:pass is in a .cookie file in the format user:pass which resides in the datadir

On windows this is by default

c:\users\<user>\appdata\roaming\xaya\.cookie

On Linux

~/.xaya/.cookie

If you are not using default settings, or using the QT/daemon, you probably know what you are doing. If not create a new thread.

It should be a similar process for AMD cards, just use a different miner (sgminer?)

For SHA256-D merged mining, you will need to follow merged mining guides to configure with your pool

It may be “do-able” to solo mine initially using a python wrapper we have created that sits in between the daemon and the miner. by constructing merge-mined blocks.

This is in contrib/auxpow

For any help, make a thread on this board.

you can read more about XAYA and the Mining specs in the user account https://github.com/xaya

Mining Pools will popup over time and if you are a pool wanting to setup for Chimaera, you can get in touch with one of the team if you need assistance.

-O might not work using these solo mining settings.

If so, use -u USER -p PASSWORD

in the cookie file they are sepperated by a :

Hi my problem now solved . what i did just delete the run xaya cmd file and set the config file like this http://prntscr.com/kbbt35

and its working http://prntscr.com/kbbtea

but now the problem is http://prntscr.com/kbbtxi

also exit and restart the wallet but not use . same error is happening

Not sure what it has to do with the wallet synchronization but shouldn't that say neoscrypt instead of bitcore?

Does it still happen if you lower the intensity? Eg, add the flag -i 5 to set intensity lower, then if it works increase it until you get the error or ccminer crashes.

you haven't found any blocks yet. With that GPU you will be better waiting for a pool

We have a mining calculator here

335 KH/s should yield ~ 10 blocks per day. I can get about twice that per day with about twice the hashrate so pretty sure it is correct. I think the issue is that you are displaying your "vault" wallet when your mining logs show you are mining to the "game" wallet. So, try switching the view from vault to game wallet (click on the top where it says vault wallet).

and its profitable with pc?

The team won't be able to comment on profitability. That's speculative as it's not currently live trading on an exchange.

How soon will the coin be on the exchange?

CHI will be listed on Liquid Exchange. Implementation will start next week.
